Are you conflicting yourself or I misunderstood what you mean?

In this post http://www.blackberryforums.com/afte...tml#post584127 , aint you suggesting to have it the way Empower is setup as?

Correct me if I am wrong.

Two completely different things. Empower has added the use of the Enter key to launch a link and SmartView has not. The post you linked to is about SmartView.

The post you quoted is about a different behavior in Empower. When you scroll to a link in Empower and click the wheel (I can't comment on using an 8100, 88x0, or 8300) the link launches (either the browser or an email)-just like clicking Enter-instead of opening the menu. This means that if you wish to access the menu you need to make sure a link isn't highlighted.

fkjr, if you are on qwerty, just press Q to toggle between full and short headers. You know we wanted to give one for Suretype as well, but well.. less keys, less options!

Will put it up an option in the next release .

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7100/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I don't know if this has been mentioned or not but my auto play on messages stopped working with the newest version. Please fix this fast that is such an integral part of having my 7105t in the holster to begin with! Thanks

I am using the latest version .91 of Empower (love it) but still don't see images in emails. I have searched the posts, have seen multiple places where people talk about getting an attachment (which is what happens to me) instead of seeing the embedded image. I can load version 2.0 of the other HTML mail program and it sees the image embedded. Yes, I have the correct options set in the options of Empower. Was there ever a solution for this issue, I didn't see any, just where people said they were having the issue.

Thanks,

Tony

OK, I finally got this to work but for some reason the image shows up twice? Anyone else have this issue?

Well it all depends on how the image is pasted in the email. The other HTML application must handle them a little different? Anyway, for testing purposes I used my yahoo account, created an email, pasted the link, and basically sent it back to myself.

1 - Create an email.
2 - Paste this link into the body of the email: http://www.berryreview.com/wp-conten....thumbnail.jpg
3 - Send it back to yourself (on your email account).
4 - When you BB gets the notification, open it on your BB.
5 - It will ask you to allow connections to a server.
6 - Allow it
7 - You will see it embedded in the email.
8 - Although, you will see two images though?????

Tony

Not bad, thanks for the app! This definitely helps with those services that insist on sending html email!

Default great software - 07-02-2007, 11:53 PM

Just wanted to say thanks for a great piece of software. I get lots of mail on my bb and it's nice to be able to see it as it was intended by the sender.

Thanks again....

Tony, thanks for detailing it so well. Although, the two images has been reported the first time. We will try to reproduce it here and look into it.

Also, the release version will improve on all counts including images and speed of performance..

Thumbs down 07-03-2007, 06:34 AM

When I recieve my "eBay Favourite Search" emails some images load but where the results are listed it shows a image loaging holder briefly which then dissapears.

Any thoughts..... they showup fine if I view the email using blackberry browser and OWA but that is a complete and utter PITA.

Cheers
Pybe

I pasted the link in to an email in outlook 2003 and sent to my bes (besx-4.1.4) and bis (O2-UK) address'

the bes received email showed 2 image loading holders and only the bottom one loaded showing the image

the bis recieved email just shows a link "http://www.berryreview.com"

pbye. If it shows 'image loading briefly' that then disappears, it may be possible that the image is not able to be retrieved. We have your emails at support and we will run test case on each of your email to make sure whats the exact issue and why it does not loads.

Also, in the upcoming version and we intend to better image rendering significantly.

I'm not sure when this behavior started (may have always been there) but right now if you happen to have a phone number highlighted in an email message with Empower if you click the wheel in, it automatically dials the number instead of popping up the menu asking you if you want to call the number. It does the same thing when you highlight an email instead of popping up the menu asking you if you want to email. This has already caused me to inadvertently call people that I had not intended to. I think the behaviour should be consistent with the way the rest of the apps on the Blackberry work. By the way, great product!
