Love it! One thing though, under Empower Options, if you go to the menu "Advanced" is spelled incorrectly. It shows "Advaced". Love the header/email backgrounds!

haha. That is funny. I will take advanced options spelled wrong for extra features any day though.

Thanks for answering about the license issue. How long is the current license good for? Is it like a trial or what.

I am also seconding the request for calendar/task injection. That would be great!

The one you have right now is good for 30 days, and I am sure you will have the free license way before that deadline.

Just a thought, this may only be my preference, but I'd rather see "To" than "TO." It's not that big a deal though.

Another one spotted!

These are going to be "major upgrades" for next version -

1. "Advanced" instead of "Advaced"
2. "To" instead of "TO"

Are these two the only grammatical / spelling mistakes in this version or have other things slipped in as well !

Actually, I have one for you...its not a typo or anything like that

On particularly short emails....if you scroll down, you can actually scroll by the text of the email. Not completely by it, but a little beyond it. If an email does not go beyond the whole screen, you should not be able to scroll down. I hope I am clear?

Ok, scrolling issue on short emails.

Now come on, say something about the background!

ani,
I'm assuming Blackberry native fonts weren't possible? I've seen lots of requests so I'm assuming it wasn't possible (or you would have done it!) Ask and ye shall receive!

I think most mail clients I've used (including the built-in BB one) show Cc/Bc instead of CC/BC. Just a thought.

One comment:

Normally, I use the "0" (Space) button to page down through emails. I notice that this shortcut doesn't work on my 8100. The other shortcuts (reply, etc) work.

I didn't have much luck with this shortcut on prior versions.

Is this by design? Or, do I have a wrong bit set somewhere?

No, its not by design. It has been fixed since v0.91, surprising we are still getting it!

It seems I might have a small bug in the software. When on the receiving end of PIN messages, they are shown as using one of my BIS email accounts rather than Peer-to-Peer.

This is in version 1.0.

Thanks,

Does the Q key works on 8100? It doesnt work on mine. Everytime when I press Q, it brings to Compose an email.

Another typo in Option:
- Set as "Defult" Viewer instead of "Default"

Good job on the new improvement. I will give it another try! Thanks Ani.

Hey,

I had already registered with the site, and I hadn't gotten an e-mail with a license. I just registered again with another e-mail address, but I haven't gotten anything in my e-mail address as of yet. Has anything been sent out yet? I just want to make sure that I'm in the free license group as well, as I've been using the beta...

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I just read through the first 6 pages and decided to download this. Its a great program but I do have a few complaints.

1. I can scroll up to the header and select the To address without any problems however I can't select the From address. Also when I hit the # button to show the email address it takes me to the bottom of the email and freezes

2. I would much rather be able to use the native BB fonts which I have set.

Thanks

No, ani has stated that the Q only works for full QWERTY devices as the QW key is reply on SureType devices.

As ani has said, no emails have been sent out to announce updates, confirm registering for the beta, or providing the 10,0000 license codes.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7130e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

A few questions (or maybe suggestions) about Empower:

- It would be nice to be able to "show address" on both From, To, and CC addresses. And the From address is not clickable.

- I know I can disable auto-loading of images, but I couldn't see a way to automatically load all images in one shot. Is this possible? Auto-loading images is typically a bad idea (to combat spammers who tag images), but typically once you get an email from a "trusted" source, you will want to load all the images at once.

- Along the same lines, it would be nice to be able to add senders/domains to a list of "trusted" sources so that their images would automatically load (even if automatic image loading is disabled).

In general the product seems to work very well, good job!

Auto play works perfectly in the new version! Thanks ani, one problem tho I feel as if this new version, the more progressive its becoming, isn't doing what empower originally planned, the memory useage on my memory deprived phone is really killin the feel. Hope you guys can kinda get back to optimization and performance. Thanks again for the auto play tho!

ANi, really enjoying your product and your responsiveness has been great. Couple questions:

1. Is it possible to be able to show an attachment as a link from the body of the email instead of having to use the trackball/click wheel to bring up the menu options?

2. I have yet to see an image and have the option checked in Advanced options Could you clarify what will display and what will not?

Thanks

Default Delete original text - 07-05-2007, 08:35 AM

As others have mentioned, the Delete Original Text option in composing an email leaves the text still visible - though it doesn't seem to actually send it with the reply.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or intentional though - I guess if it's a bug it should be fixed (bugs have a tendency to materialize in unexpected ways) - but if it's intended to work this way I'd sort of like to see it kept. I DON'T like to send the original text when I reply as it just adds to email clutter - but I DO like to quote certain parts so my answers make sense and tie to the questions and this makes it easy to jump lower in the reply, see the question, quote it as necessary, answer it, and then know that the rest of the original will not be included.

For what it's worth - I have tested every version of Empower since .2 or so; I also have a purchased copy of SmartView. Typically I test Empower, find some things that SmartView does better and go back to SmartView. But Empower 1.0 is different and I like it - better in fact - than SmartView - and really hope that the licenses promised get sent as promised as I believe that Empower is a keeper.

Arrow Empower Version 1.1 Released - 07-05-2007, 12:57 PM

Empower Mail Viewer Version 1.1 Released and is now live at major mobile merchant sites (MobiHand, Handango etc) and also at www.Mobylo.com

This version fixes the TooManyThreads exception that happened in v1.0 if you scrolled too fast in Empower Options. Also, the mis-spelled words have been set right.

Please update your copies from the usual urls -

OTA: www.getEmpower.com/emv.php
PC-DM: www.getEmpower.com/emvzip.php

Its a 30-day trial so you can continue using it while we setup the system for mailing out the free licenses.

Thanks.
