Default Travel Itinerary Software Needed - 05-11-2005, 01:19 PM

Can anyone recommend a simple itinerary software app. I would like it to keep airline, hotel and rental car info. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

me again. i am shocked that there have been no answers to this post. i would have thought for a device that touts itself as the "be-all" for business users, that there would not be some type of itinerary software out there. as always, thanks in advance for any feedback.

Not sure if this will help at all and don't know if you are using Exchange but I always enter my all of the info you mentioned as part of the calendar entry for my departing flight. Easy to find that way if there are any problems when I reach my destination and I can look at all of my travel for the year or do search's on travel since I use a category called travel for my flight calendar entries.

My apologies for taking so much space if you aren't using Exchange but hop this helps!

Thanks for the recommendation. Part of my frustration comes from being an ex-palm user, in which there were several good itinerary software packages. I always hear a lot of people saying that this device is not as glamorous as the palm because it is a business device. my feeling is that travel itinerary software would be exactly what a business device would need.

I used to use TripTracker on my desktop/PocketPC back when I had a PocketPC. The desktop application has a feature that it will update Outlook with flight information and some of the hotel and rental car information. I use the PC portion still even though I am on a Blackberry now, but I also just copy the e-mailed itinerary to a memo.

I would pay for, if it worked and was priced appropriately, a Blackberry-specific travel program. But for me, I would want a desktop portion as well...

Our corporate travel agent uses Virtually There and there is an app called Infotriever that allows me to download my travel reservations (air, car, hotel) to my Notes calendar, which then automatically reconciles with my BB. Maybe go to http://www.infotriever.com and check it out. It may be a two-step process, but it will get the info into your calendar.

Virtuallythere.com is superb. I download every trip to Outlook. Which wireless syncs to my BB.

There is also a PDA based version - http://www.sabremobile.com/vt.plm
