Default ATT Mobile IM - 06-27-2007, 02:33 PM

Just downloaded it for my BB Curve.

Real time AIM? i guess..
Messages sent in real time, but getting messages take up to like 5 seconds.

really slow at first, then kicks into gear

anyone else use this?

Where did you download this from?

Is it just for AIM or for other IM services as well (MSN, ICQ, YAHOO, etc.)?

Thanks!

Is that the IM client that you can download at wireless.att.com? if it is, you should consider a different IM program. From what I understand of the AT&T app, it uses txt messages as opposed to data.

Use Jive Talk or IM+ they use data and work with most of the major IM services.

OZ works for me. I have 1500 text messages to use up. I also have unlimited data. Oz is free.

i donno whether it takes data or texts, i do use Jivetalk, but i just found it: it has AIM MSN and Yahoo on it.

it seems a little too 'live' for it to work via text messages, but i donno

In your BB browser, go to the MediaNet homepage, scroll down to "Mail & Messaging" and then click on "Mobile IM".

Like I said, it's not true IM as it apparently uses the txt msg. part of your plan instead of the data.

That information came from here.
