Default PocketPC-like Task Mgmt App? - 06-28-2007, 09:00 AM

Has anyone seen any app that would allow for task managment similar to PocketInformant or Agenda Fusion on the PocketPC?

To me, this is still the one area that is lacking when using a BB.

Thanks

Thanks for the lead, but I downloaded it yesterday, and didn't see anything in the way of task management, except for grouping by Priority.

Maybe I missed something?

Default ToDoMatrix task management software for BlackBerry smartphones - 06-29-2007, 10:53 AM

We are not familiar with the PocketPC appls you are referring to but we offer a free trial and a video demo on our ToDoMatrix task management application for the BlackBerry.

Top ten features and the video demo are here:
todoMatrix 2007 by REXwireless Software

OTA or PC based download is available here:
http://www.REXwireless.com/download

Give it a try if you like. If you want an independent review, Stinsonddog (a BlackBerry Forums moderator) has a pretty extensive write up here:

Thanks,

@rexguys:

Yes, I did look at your product, and think it's great! Unfortunately, it doesn't use the BB task DB, so this would not sync up with Outlook.

If you were able to do that, I would jump at it in a minute.

Hi halfempty,

I was concerned about that too - I came from the PocketPC world (using Pocket Informant).

To be honest, with the web-based interface on the desktop - I'm not using Outlook to manage my tasks anylonger. I do it all via todoMatrix on the blackberry (the "inject into" functionality from the bb mail app, calendar app, browser, memos, etc is a HUGE improvement), and on the desktop, I use the rexdesktop.com web page.

I did consider myself a "power" user of PI, so like you I missed robust task management when I migrated to the blackberry. I've tried Pocketday, and found it really didn't add anything to the blackberry task functionality (although it does have other benefits compared to the stock apps on the blackberry)

Of course, your needs may differ from mine, but I'd recommend giving the trial a fair shot.

Don

I purchased the ToDoMatrix and IdeaMatrix from Rex earlier last week. They stated development to interface with Outlook is already underway and should be ready by Dec '07.

Thanks Don. Outlook is my primary PIM tool for work, and I use an excellent Outlook add-in that I will not part with to take care of my workflow. I'm sure To-Do matrix works well, but I'd have to change too much.

I do see kgn1224 saying that there is hope for me though ;)

Thanks guys (gals?)
