Default External Picture Viewer? - BB7290

Question, All my friends have these cool little picture phones, and sometimes they occasionally try to e-mail them to me, well of course our screen size is a lot bigger than theirs, and I know the BlackBerry can only view a certain Res, but is there a program that can interprit otherwise? I'd really like to see some of these pictures.

Ideas? Anyone else ran into this problem?

News flash, if your foremost concern is opening pictures the Blackberry may not be the phone of choice for you? If your running OS 4.0 and images are emailed to you as a .jpg the picture viewer should be able to open them, at least thats what I do on my 7780. Try searhing the board, I know there have been multiple posts about opening and viewing pictures on a Blackberry.

Well pictures are not my #1 Priority, but the thing that bothers me about this phone is that it has so much more capabilities but there is road blocks from every direction?

The Picture viewer will open pictures but I guess only of a certain Res? I dont understand?
