Default other GPS besides TeleNav - 05-16-2005, 05:08 PM

I've read the review of TeleNav for my 7520 and will try it out

I'm wondering if there are any other mapping apps out yet?

$120/yr for TeleNav seems like a lot vs. a $20 - $30 software or shareware type program

I agree that while $9.95/month is not much, it can add up to my already expensive phone bill. I like Telenav a lot and look forward to using it more often (to search for food, gas stations....etc) but specifically for driving, I don't drive out of town too much to be able to use this gungho. I'd also like to know if there are other options out there but since the 7520 is relatively a new phone (GPS enabled), I don't feel that there maybe other software in the market this soon specifically for the BB.

Xora is rolling out their GPS TRACKING service(Xora TimeTrack) on the 7520 June 1st. I would imagine that other will follow suite (Comet, @Road, etc). This is not navigation, but time/employee/vehicle/handset tracking. Also, it is rumored that Trimble Outdoors will be offered as well in the near future.

cheers!
