Default Putting aftermarket apps on mem card? - 07-09-2007, 01:30 PM

I am a new berry users, and I have been loading this thing up with tons of nice apps. I am running out of room and I am wondering if there is a way to load them onto the 2 gig memory card. Does this effect performance?

I wish that you could. It must remain on the device memory if you are going to run it.

Sorry....

Alright :(

Is there any harm in keeping your BB filled up?

Meaning not much mem left?

It can run a bit slower, or crawl, it depends on how much you having running at once.

Actually it can really impact you. You should keep your avaiable memory as high as possible. I realize the link below is related to the 8100 but the same issue is impacting 8300's. You should never let your memory drop below 16mg. You check it Menu>Options>Status

Here is the link on the symptons of low memory and how to free memory on your device.

Ditto, thatzmister2u. I don't know what the magic File Free number should be, it seems to vary around the board here from users.
