Default Beyond411 down due to hosting provider - 07-11-2007, 06:19 PM

The Beyond411 is down as a result of an error by my hosting provider, who I am extremely aggravated with.

In the course of removing the old failing hard drive (which for some reason they were in a hurry to reclaim), they brought down the system and have not brought it up again. They've been extremely non-responsive.

Keep your fingers crossed, hopefully I'll be back soon.

After downloading and installing the simulsays voicemail program, Beyond411 (as well as Opera Mini) isn't working :(

Since I had downloaded it yesterday afternoon I was so happy when I saw this post and thought it may be related to the downtime, but alas, it's still kaput.

Well I got tired of that program eating up my battery life, so I uninstalled it, upgraded beyond411 to the latest and greatest, and it still gives me an error on trying to connect.

I am using 8100/tmobile, newest OS - .101

That's what I use...I guess, too, you've tried the different settings in advanced network connections in Beyond411.

Quick question about Beyond 411..... is there a way to change the sorting of the search? I would prefer if it listed results in order of distance away...if i search a restaurant, i typically get the closest restaurant first, but after that its pretty random....any ideas?

Mine are also fairly random, but mostly in order of distance from the location i've input as home... For example a recent Starbuck's search returned locations in this order of miles away from me... 2.5 - 3.7 - 5.4, and then .8 (the one around the corner last) Of course, it's a fairly new location... but in the Yellow Pages nonetheless so it shouldn't matter right...

Love this thing as always Phil...

I hate when that happens. May it keep working, though.
