Default PEPID Emergency Physicians Suite - 07-13-2007, 08:58 PM

Does anyone have experience with the PEPID Emergency Physicians Suite software package?

If so, please indicate your level of satisfaction as this software has yet to be rated on the Handmark website.

Thanks.

Have had it for 6 months. Very happy with it. Best feature is storage to data card and instantaneous accesss. Had MCS health but prefer this.

Check out skyscape.com, they just released most of there apps for the BB and they reside on your memory card so no need for a wireless connection.

I'm an ER attending in a teaching hospital.
I recently moved from Palm to a BB 8800, and so also seem to be moving from the skyscape suite (5 Min emerg and 5 min CC) and Epocrates to Pepid on Berry.

My impressions are that Pepid is pretty good. Very up to date, detailed and practical. It's running off my micro SD card, though, and is probably less fast/user friendly than Skyscape stuff. Also, there is no equivalent of the free Epocrates, which was nice, but I'm sure there will be soon enough.

You can download the full trial version free for a month (website says a week, but it seems to be a month). Installed without a problem.

*** A question: Does anyone know how to change the font style or size in the Pepid database? Even though I have a ccustom font for all my BB applications, the Pepid text come sup in the standard, ugly generic font.

I have been in practice for 31 years and I love this app! So easy to check my "other brain" for things I have forgotten and the patient's think it is cool. The drug data base and interactions are great. Overall, worth every penny. BTW, Epocrates is in beta testing for the BB so we can compare them soon.
