I never want to use any app other than Verichat. This is the first time I am hearing about Causerie. Anyway I will think about Causerie only if I find some good feedback in this forum.

Causerie is a product from MantraGroup which is a very good player in Palm based applications. So definitely I expect a very good go for Causerie.

wisest, WhoCares, ItsMyLife, OneandOnly and AllColors... I know all you 5 are working together (or are the same person) according to this forum's logfiles. You're literally all coming from the same IP address. Please stop spamming Causierre.

Causierre may be good software and all, but this is an obvious spamming attempt of Casuierre by somebody.

Thanks,
Mark Rejhon

Wow, that's pretty pathetic. Sad part is causerie is spamming to test their product meanwhile they neve fixed the problems in the new release and they abandon their forums for support quite often. Now I'm wondering why I was one of the few having problems. You have all these users on their boards saying they fixed this, doing that, etc: but its all one person.. ROFL

Sad sad move mantra group.

Even with all of the persistent problems with your I'm client, you are not alone: all these I'm clients have problems one way or another.

Secondly, you have more then enough eyes on you already.. The product works ok for as many people as it doesn't work.. Lol

We have some 40 developers working on Causerie alone and they are very excited about our new BlackBerry release and that might have lead to this. We are very sorry for what all have happened. We will find out the exact reasons behind this and stop this immediately.

acceptable reasoning mantragroup .. I dont think we should label the product as spamming just because some developers have posted some thing about the product ..

It may be true that it may simply be a developer's, a low-level employee's or a beta tester's fault.

I have evidence that several of the userid's are the SAME PERSON (it may also be some people playing tag-team from the same subnet, but I also have duplicate IP addresses too under different userid's.) Legitimate developers or not, it is against the forum rules to create fake forum names. To do so for the purpose of marketing a product, is shameful. Pretending to be happy users. And not even disclosing beta tester status.

Regardless, this pratice needs to STOP.

Thanks,
Mark Rejhon

yes, I agree with you Mark that this kind of spamming should be stopped on the forums. The same "spamming" thing happened with Verichat from PDAapps on treocentral where they were trying the same thing (posing as "happy users").

But based on these things done by someone, I do not think it is reasonable enough to brand entire Causerie (mantragroup) or Verichat (pdaapps) as spammers.

It's a matter of interpretation. When I say "Causiere spammer", it doesn't mean the entire MantraGroup, but a single Causiere spammer.

I have edited the warnings in this particular thread slightly, given the new information in this thread.

Thanks,
Mark Rejhon

Out of curiousity, I have just tried Causerie on my 7100t and it works like a charm. It is really a very good software.

So, who ever is doing this "spamming" thing, please do not do so in forums and spoil the reputation of a good product like Causerie.

Let us share our honest opinions in the forums about the software instead of all this.

Mark, I am glad you took a nice step to stop people from spamming here.
