I am having a bit of a problem with BBWeather. I installed this program last Friday on my new 8830. My current carrier is bell canada. Now as most of you know the 8830 has issues installing the program and it locks up. I got past this problem, and got BBweather working perfectly.

Yesterday, my friend couldnt get it working, so i tried a few scenarios on my own BB to help him. Now today, i am getting this Malformed address, returning null connection. I cant figure it out, it worked Perfectly yesterday and i returned all settings to normal.

I am on a Bes server, but also use the BIS for alternate email. I am wondering if i somehow changed a setting yesterday and now need new service books from the Bes. Does this make sense?

All i tried doing yesterday was changing the TCP settings to internet.com i then reverted back to normal (blank) but now i am recieving this error. I tried pulling the battery, and also uninstalling and reinstalling the bbweather app.. still getting the same issue. Anyone have any ideas?

If you are on BES, make sure you have MDS enabled, on the BBWeather options.

If i have the box "disable mds proxy" checked i get the malformed address error.

If i Uncheck the box i get different error about a firewall and me not having permission.

(I had it working last week with the Box checked, so i dont see why i should change it)

ok, your choice, you asked. You said you were on BES.

I would uncheck that and make sure you have your TCP settings saved.

Like i said.. if i uncheck that box i get an error saying that hte firewall is blocking the connection.... TCP is/was always blank i think right?
