Is there a way to set a sound to Jivetalk? I miss many im's because it doesn't make any noise when a new message or conversation is received. I have it set to pop up a window when I'm on the home screen or something, but a pop up and flashing led doesn't help me any when the phone is in my pocket!

Yes, there is. You can open JiveTalk, and then access the Profiles section on your BlackBerry (with JiveTalk running in the background). There should be settings for JiveTalk there in each profile.
