Default softwae request - 07-24-2007, 07:32 PM

I would like to see an application that would allow me to export all SMS messages from my BB to my PC. From the PC you could then read them, sort them (date, phone number, name, etc), as well as continually update the PC's SMS contents.

This came up the other day in conversation - wouldn't it be neat to be able to go back and read all the texts you sent/received from a certain person over the last year or so... think girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband/etc. Could even be a stupid gift to them on birthdays where they could go back and laugh (or get upset) at the messages.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

You may want to place this in the Developer Forum portion of this site. You may get more success in terms of getting a response. Just a thought.

Never fear...
Try this, will do what you need.
It will translate and convert your BB "*.ipd" backup file on the PC.

EDIT: Link here:Free download ABC Amber BlackBerry Convertor, convert IPD files to CHM, PDF, HTML, Word, Access, Excel, CSV, IPD Extractor
