I'm looking for a better calendar for my 8100 (pearl). The one that came on it is ok but I'm starting to have more and more things that I want to add to it. I need more functionality. Here is what I am looking for in a calendar, please let me know what you would recomened:

1: The ability to add multiple "all day" events to the same day. I want to be able to add birthdays and due dates (such as bills) to the same day. Right now I can only seem to get one per day.

2. The ability to color code different activities so I can figure out how I am spending my time. (work=blue, volunteering=green, family=red and so on.....)

3. The ability to sort out my calendar by the activites that are listed above. (list all my work activities, family time)

I know that all of these may not be avalible in a software, but there has got to be something out there that is better than the factory calendar. Please let me know what you all think.

your only option in my opinion now is Pocket Day - great program and its in beta now for a newer version which has some great new features!

My problem is that the snooze function for the calendar only does 5 minutes. One thing I like to have in the calendar is birthdays. I want an initial notification 7 days before but then usually want to snooze 1 day. This way, I get a reminder far enough in advance to buy a card or gift and then get reminded each day until the date.

My curve has a non adjustable snooze of 5 minutes. I certainly dont want a reminder every 5 minutes for a week! A more robust calendar program would be quite welcome.

If your biggest concern is the ability to be notified of events. Maybe an alarm program like "my alarm" would work.

An alarm program would be great if it somehow syncd with the calendar. MyAlarm allows for only 6 alarms. It would fill up pretty quickly.

The blackberry calendar is ok except for the snooze. Pocketday just displays whats in the calendar.

It is actually a program for storing random notes, ideas, memos, post it's, whatever.

However, you can easily create a note for each birhtday, and set up a reminder in any duration you want... minutes, days, months. When the reminder appears on your bb, you are given the option to dismiss, or snooze. If you choose snooze, a pop up appears, and allows you to again set ANY time period before your reminder comes up again!

It's actually a very slick program. It also utilizes a drawer/folder metaphor, so you could easily create a drawer or folder simply called "Birthdays", and have all of your birthday reminders in that folder.

It's notification system is one of the most Versatile and easily configured I've seen in any program!
