Any one have SOLID info on when Docs to go will launch? The Company says soon as it has been saying since February. Soon has come and gone. Any better intelligence?

I'd say this is as solid as you're going to get since it's right from their sales dept... Unless you have a contact on their dev team.

I actually contributed to that thread. I was hoping for a little more info than sometime in the fall. Oh, well.

I don't mean any disrespect, but why start a new thread then? Even if you thought my info was bogus (which it's not) you could have just bumped it to see if anyone had any information newer than last week.

Firstly, I do not think that anything you said was bogus. I am looking for a more solid (firm, concrete) date. In fact the other thread was more for specific available options for editing word and excel docs. I view this thread as a place for any one with information solely on the Data Viz product. Finally, your information is the ONLY information I have so far and is the most SOLID info I have. Just curious if there is any more info out there, SO I started a post to capture any further info? Hope this helps.

Okay, I just figured that information directly from the horse's mouth (read: the company that makes and markets the product in question) was the best information you could get. If you think a BBF member will know more than the company that makes the product, then by all means, have at it. Sorry to interrupt.

Normally, might agree. But the same sales department that told you that also told me (direct from the horses mouth so to speak) that it would be summer. I, unfortunately, need an Office editing program and have used the Dynoplex solution in the past and have found it cumbersome and not user friendly. My long ago experience with Docs to go on a Palm was a seemless pleasure. Finally, I have found sales in any organization (including the company I work for) to sometimes be the least in step with product release and I am hoping that some of the less customer oriented personnel from Data Viz might be watching this board. Then you and I might get more SOLID info.

I suppose you have a point about sales vs. development... I will watch hopefully with you. I was actually considering resurrecting my old Palm Tungsten T for spreadsheet use with the old DocsToGo program on it. I just hate carrying two devices... kinda bulky

Yup. Totally agree. Hope someone is listening. This product if as easy to use as it was on Palm would really be a home run. Just would like to avoid using eOffice again (though not a bad product just too involved). Oh, well.
