Just a quick post to let you know about the first commercial release of Mindit Assist - 'Virtual Assistant' software for mobile sales and marketing people.
Originally written as a product to help reduce customer churn at your friendly Telco - it turns out they are not happy with the overall bandwidth reducing nature of the product - we have opted to take it direct.
Written to mimic the kind of operations a real assistant might do back at your office, a Mindit Assistant automatically looks after the tasks of :
* Generating quotes, letter, contacts, etc. on your behalf.
* Finding and forwarding product information to your customer.
* Monitoring , filtering and redirection of incoming customer email to your mobile device.
* Archiving and auditing sent email.
You send an email to your Mindit Assistant outlining what you want done, and she looks after the data lookup, document generation and forwanding from her location. All interaction with your Assistant is done using just a few lines of plain English text (Basically: Who, What, Where, and When) entered in the default mail application on your Blackberry. There is never a need to access a web site, or use other software/ services to lookup data, compose or edit documents, or send attachments. With Mindit Assist communication is always two way - you send the Assistant what you want her to do, and she send status massages back outlining what has been done/ sent'.
Ease of use, and a recognition of the physical screen and keyboard limitations found on all hand held devices, are the under laying design criteria for Mindit Assist. As such, every Assistant is fully customizable to your specific needs - including how you communicate with her and the type of material she will create and deliver based on your requests.
