Default Unable to run Bbweather

Please Login to Remove!

I am unable to run the Bbweather without getting an error message. I have searched around the forum and I have done what you guys have suggested but still can't get it to work. I was told to enable the MDS proxy. If I enable the MDS Proxy, then I get the message "Error: Could not find a service book entry for IPPP" If I disable the MDS Proxy, then I get the message "Error: could not open tunnel - failed" Also disabling the firewall doesn't help. I am using Telus BB 7750 with OS4. Any ideas?

My BB is a CDMA (Telus) version and there is no TCP under options.

Is the "use MDS Proxy" option checked?

Try un-checking the "use MDS Proxy" option and see if that does the trick?

Maybe a silly question but where can I find and uncheck "use MDS Proxy" (these are my first days with a blackberry)? I am trying to get BBwether working and get the same "no service book entry for IPPP" error message.

I think the issue is that you most likely aren't hooked up to a BES server, and telus doesn't offer full tcp/ip, so in other words... you need bes, or you don't get bbweather...

I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

Indeed I just have a prosumer blackberry without a BES server. So I have no chance to use BBWeather? Shouldn't I get a tcp connection thru T-Mobile Germany (my provider)? Wouldn't that be sufficient. You see, I am not at all familiar with the network system a blackberry uses.
