Who is demo version dude? Is he a registered user? Not exactly a way to encourage use. Why don't you post some useful info here in this thread and add to the community.

I am not the vendor - just a user who wanted to share some information. But if you want to know more:

Other software like todoMatrix is not able to synchronize with my desktop using PocketMax (or BlackBerry Desktop Manager on Windows). Moreover, it is a direct approach to David Allen's GTD method to "get things done". Therefor it saves a lot of time when I add, review and resolve tasks. I am using NextAction! for over one year and also participated in the beta test for the Falcon. I am really happy the new final version is available now. Anyway, a very good and consistent way for handling my tasks are the shortcuts in NextAction! which allow me to process my task in a fast way. Also the performance boost is really helpful as NA is now able to handle several thousand tasks with an ease.

The internal task application is very hard to handle if you want to be productive.

So if you wanna know more subjective feelings I can keep writing dude

By the way: OTA installation works fine on my BlackBerry

P.S.: I synchronize with iCal, Entourage and the Apple Address Book without any problems. That's really nice.

Just tried it again. Works now. We'll see if it is worth the 30.00usd WITH the discount.

You Still havent said what it does exactly! List features please.
A simple outline of what the program does would be most helpful. Most people including myself don't like installing trials if its not what we what on our device.

Does it integrate with built in task program - thats the most crucial for me.

Nothing personal, Fred. But you should check out the user manual yourself. Every question you asked is right there. You want other people to do all the work for you?

So the OP obviously had the time to real pretty like describe that this product was updated but didnt list what it does exactly - is that too much to ask sir? I dont think so - I can certainly research it but he volunteered to post info about it already. A simple description of what it does, not its new features, would have been better.

Hi!

Just don't want to interrupt you, but had to...

So I installed the trial, sync with Outlook, have several tasks in Outlook and correctly synced to the basic Blackberry task-program. They don't show up in NextAction! 2.0 -> why?

All tasks I enter in Outlook don't show up in NextAction! just in the internal task program.

When I enter something in NextAction! it'll correctly show up in Outlook.

Any idea?

OL -> BBtask -> check
OL -> NAction -> nope
BBtask -> OL -> check
NAction -> OL -> check
BBtask -> NAction -> nope
NAction -> BBtask -> check

hmmm?

Greetings
plantagoo

Sounds like a bargain if its not the cheap plastic kind, unless of course you can fill it with your liquid of choice. Ever hear the Billy Idol song, Plastic Jesus.

But still too much for that app.

Upgraders will get it for $19.95

Btw: I got the first version for $50 a year ago and already this early one was the 50 bucks worth.

I did read the page and I swear to god it said $49.99 yesterday.
Now that price is crossed out and it has a different one.
I don't know. Maybe I was just too tired and misread it.

I don't know how I feel about this funkym guy/gal... he or she was pushing the first version of NextAction pretty hard too, all the while swearing up and down it wasn't vaporware and he wasn't affiliated with the vendor. I tried the first version, was not impressed at all. Not sure I like the new version either. Kind of clunky.

Yeah, after trying it I still like ToDo Matrix more. The huge plus for this one over ToDo Matrix is the fact that it works with Outlook. That I do like...a lot.

Hi!

I confess: I really don't know (even after trying) what this software is good for... Maybe I had too much expectations... But for (normally) 49,95$ I want a little more bang for the buck.

I didn't get the point...

Well guys. Sorry...

Of course, NextAction! is not a program for common users. It is dedicated to those who implement GTD (Getting Things Done; developed by David Allen) on their BlackBerry.

Those of you who do not know what GTD is, don't need to try the demo version. It will not meet your needs as you don't know what it is about.

Simplicity.
Productivity.
Speed.

That's what it is about when you are handling tasks to get your things done. Therefor, there are no due dates and that other stuff you don't really need to handle 'next actions' in a fast and productive way.

Again, sorry for confusing those of you who do not know what I am talking about. The BlackBerry's built-in task application should also work for you. It can do a lot of things with tasks, that should be enough

The first post says exactly what the program does: it is a GTD program. If you don't know what that is, either look it up yourself using something called Google, or just leave it alone because it's obviously not meant for you. While the program is expensive, if you use the GTD methods, it is well worth the price; if you don't know what that is, don't complain about the price of software for which you have no use.

Ummm, I know what GTD is. Have the book, used the Outlook plug-in and I still think this software is a little pricey. Again, try ToDo matrix...then you will see what I mean. If they were able to have ToDo sync with Outlook then it would be a better choice but as I stated in a previous post, the Outlook sync puts this ahead. FYI, for the GTD fanpersons, I was very disorganized and GTD did prove effective for me but almost $50 for this app is a little overboard. Just my .02

I paid $29.95 for this and I'm happy. I wanted a simple task list application that allows different contexts/categories etc.
When I'm at the grocery store, I click next actiion, groceries and theirs my list. When I'm in Hom Depot, same thing.
I only use next action for my errands lists so for me I'm happy.

Um... why not just use a simple category filter (@errands, or even @errands_home depot & @errands_groceries) and save $30? This is way over priced for what it does (IMO) and this is coming from a hard-core GTD-er.

Ok, after using this for a couple weeks I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. $30 for fancy filters is really what you're getting. You can do the exact same thing with the built in task manager....just with more button pushes to do it. I'll push a few more buttons in lieu of paying $30 to not have to. I like the app, I like what it does, but if it was $5 I'd be willing to pay for it, just because of being lazy and saving button pushes. Lol.
