Nice -

Good work, and thanx for allowing free upgrades!
A couple of comments based on first impressions:
- I acknowledge that I'm somewhat sloppy when I roll the trackball up/down, but that is constantly bringing up the quick jump screen (or whatever you call it) because it thinks I am intentionally moving the trackball left/right, which forces me to escape out; ergo, it's taking me longer to navigate the main page
- Though getting to the quick jump screen is very quick, choosing one of the views and then getting to it is very, very, very slow from a response perspective
- Is there any plan to add more key mapping ability (i.e., mapping more than just 10 apps)?
- It appears that PocketDay is no longer working with the Empower Mail Viewer (i.e., when you view a message, it doesn't use Empower). Is there a setting that I just don't have set properly?
- When you click on a calendar item, the speed is great to open it, but very slow to get back when you hit escape.
Thanx again!
- B.

when you go to the ota screen (1st page) select refresh from the browser menu. It must be cached on your BB.

brilovett,
It takes a little getting used to on the View Ribbon. We have over 100 beta testers involved and tweaked it serveral times.
PD never worked with Empower, but stay tuned

I had tried that; I ended up deleting the browser cache on the BB. Downloading now. Thanks.

This can be turned off: Settings, General, uncheck View Switch Ribbon On

PD uses an internal viewer. I don't think it ever used Empower or any other external viewer if you read it via PD. If you escaped from PD and then read your messages, then it'd use your external reader.

I can't say I have noticed this myself. Do you have a lot of calendar entries or anything...?

Just curious, when I go to the month view it doesn't have a space below the calender showing what's happening on that particular day. I looked in the settings and didn't find a way to change it.

gator12...press the spacebar on a day to see the day preview. We modified this to show a larger calendar.

I have to say, it was a seamless upgrade on my 7130g with OS 4.1 and BES (so, the WAP version of PD). All my personal settings in PD remained intact. And I really appreciate software companies who offer free upgrades, thank you Cross River Systems.

Love it!! Great upgrade.
One suggestion for future versions -- I'd like to have the stock market indices in the stock display, but it doesn't seem to work when I try to add djia, nyse, nasdaq, etc.

You need to enter them correctly, try X+^DJI, for Dow Jones, X+^IXIC for Nasdaq Promise it will work

Be sure to install correct version -
09-01-2007, 04:19 AM
If you go to the OTA site, once select personal or professional, and regular vs. WAP, it will ask you to select based on your OS. Some people have upgraded their 87XX with 4.2.xxx but that is not listed under the 4.2+ OS models, that is still the one to use.
CRS,
guys, please review the description after OS4.2+ as there are 87xx models out there that have been upgraded to this version.

Locking up is an application permission issue. Go to the BB Home Screen (icons) select settings / options / security options / application permissions. Edit PocketDay and set everything to Allow.
For Default screen you can make PD your standby screen. In POcketDay go to settings / utilities and set the show PD after x minutes to a 1.

I tried that and still didn't work. I have no idea because it seems like I am the only one having the problem.
