Default Any Californians w/ Cingular & a 7100g?

I'm so confused. I bought Webviewer from Reqwireless because it was supposed to be able to access more pages, but I keep getting "could not connect to server" messages. I found advice on this forum about configuring the settings to override WAP, but apparently you also need Cingular to tweak your service plan before it will work. Also, California supposedly doesn't have the same name for Wireless Internet Express (WIX), or whatever. If anyone here in CA has been successful in making these modifications, I would love to hear from you. Thanks

Also, I tried searching to see if this information was already in the forum archives somewhere. I couldn't find it, but if it is around somewhere please let me know.
