Default Map Software Application - 09-05-2007, 12:26 AM

Hi guys, just got the blackberry, and i was wondering if there is a map software out there in which a connection to a server is not required, meaning that the map is fully contained within the BB itself.

I believe its much more practical for ordinary uses for what i do.

Thanks

Those files would be huge, but I guess now with 2-4GB micro SD cards, it is certainly possible. I don't know of a "files on board" mapping application, but I do recall it being discussed here a few times.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: Opera/9.50 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.0.8993/58; U; en))

I don't think I have seen anything like this yet. I believe all the current solutions require a wireless connection of some sort.

Yes, i do have a 4gig microSD, and it would be much faster/quicker if the application is right on the BB itself rather than having to wait for network to transfer data.
