*Every builds until commercial version is available are full functions but expiration date has been set to 30/09/2007 and I'm building a web form for customer of Black &Whitelist to get their new registration key for this application (because generate a thousand of registration key from unique PIN number and send to a thousand of email is not easy job for me )

*i,Call Manager is a replacement of Black & White list and I'm not author of BlockBerry/BerryBlocker
Lets hope the wait is worth it...I think it will be!

I agree. Black & Whitelist is worth the cost. Works great. AND since we are getting a free upgarde there is nothing to loose.

On another note: I had to return my pearl for a defect and was sent another. New regestration code was needed to keep B&WL running. Emailed the developer yesterday afternoon and had a reply by 8:30 p.m. with a new code. Pretty darn prompt IMO.

More and more waiting. I wonder if he is going to extend the trial since he still hasn't produced the product?

.jad and .cod files are supposed to be for an OTA install, but it does not appear to be configured properly -- one of the .cod files referenced by the .jad does not exist. Multiple .cod files is common -- you just don't normally see the entire directory -- normally, the OTA link just points to the .jad file, which references the appropriate .cod file(s). The saga continues...

weird, i though i could do this with Desktop manager

but i guess its OTA, which i have no clue how to do.

i wish the developer, would take a little time, to actually post this product

how can he be succesfull and plan to sell this if he cant even make it available, or answer questions

many people will not have the patience, and time to waste on this

time = money

that other $35 dollar program is looking better by the minute

Hello,
In a past week I do not update the link after I posted this thread because 1 day later I know that its contains bug of import contact from address book and call forwarding function in Pearl (OS 4.2.0.64), 8700 and 8703e(also can’t reject incoming call for 8703e) when I give it to selected customers to test it. And I think I can’t support if I update the link and let you download that beta 1.
Now download service is under construction, (it use to perform some task before send customer to correct link)
These are the latest screen shots of the application.
Index of /tempfile/screenshot

I know it’s useless if the application can't install.
Commercial version in not available until all B&W customers says it's no bugs and gives me some feedback to make a decision when it’s ready to sell.
In beta 2 I’ll publish the download link again and I think its stable enough to release as beta 2 on this weekend.

Agreed. I'm not in a major hurry for it, especially since I have B&WList already anyways.

Lee, sure I love getting new apps as much as the next person and sure if I have a call problem I'd like the promising new release too that sounds like it'd take care of my problem but have some patience. Who wouldn't be the first to complain if it wasn't working, wouldn't install or made a mess of your phone? I prolly would too.

While the $35 program may look better by the minute, did you get the $9 program already? That $9 program gets you something that works now, with a free upgrade to the program we are waiting for in this thread. Remember, it's a free upgrade to B&WList users, there is nothing to say that i,Call Manager won't be released at a higher price.

I didn't post to take a poke at musclee; but I'm sure we'd all appreciate a release that's ready. I'm sure we aren't supposed to see the contents of his directories with the beta files in them; and remember, the way the upgrades and key generation will be handled will be online. It takes time for that, and the documentation for something this complex (since it will do much more than just block calls); and as DaBBB mentioned, juggle work and home life too.

As confirmed "new apps for the blackberry" freak myself, I can fully understand the impatience for this program; yet, I haven't seen an application so awaited with bated breath as this one.

Black & Whitelist is such a good application that i,CallManager is bound to be very good too. The developer seems to be exercising a lot of diligence in ensuring that the app is stable enough to be considered a good beta, and I appreciate it. I too can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, but I'm not complaining. This guy (or gal) is very, very good, and am willing to cut him / her a lot of slack

I agree wholeheartedly with the last couple of posts with one exception. The developer should have released the fact that he discovered what he considered to be a critical bug long before yesterday -- in general, people are much more understanding when they have the truth.

Well that's him convicted then, lock him up and throw away the key.
Come on people a little reality here, its a piece of software that no one has and you have all done without for a long time, the guy is doing his/her best and not releasing it until it is working at a level that he/she feels happy with.

You would all be moaning like hell if it had been released and was crashing your bb all the time.

I'm not sure what to say. It is a major let down for promising something and it didn't come out at the right time. Most consumers don't care what the excuses/reasons/truths are. Delays are delays.

While on the other hand, the developer is being very responsible. He's making sure the software is going to run as stable/best as a software could get!

I truly believe he should've taken the Blizzard approach! "It'll be out when we think it's ready".

I was voicing my opinion not because he hasn't provided the product but more so because he didn't give any update to let customers know more of what was going on.

I give him props for not releasing the product before it was ready. So far I am very happy with the old one and can't wait for the new one.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/2.0 (compatible; MSIE 3.02; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320) BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/136)

Is there an ota available? I'll be away from pc for a while.

This may be a stupid question....but right now I am running an old version of Black and Whitelist. Should I get B&W 1.28 OR iCall manager? What are the key differences?

Ohh and it looks like the 'options' menu in iCall manager does not work...I just get errors...

ok, so I looked today and there Beta2 is available for download from i,softwarelabs - Blackberry software

I installed it to my 8830 from my desktop with no problems - will try it out now to see how it works.

edit...and off it comes. Any attempt to select "Options" results in this error:
"Uncaught exception:
java.lang.illegalArguementException"

No, it appears to be across the board. The application has several unresolved issues (which I forwarded to the developer) before it is ready for prime time.
