Thanks for posting this.

Two questions: Is this only for the 8100?

Do you have an OTA download link?

If you go to the link in first post, it mentions the Pearl. So i would imagine that its just for the Pearl

No!

This is hardware feature, so it works only on Pearl devices

No. It only works on the Pearl as stated in the first post. The other models don't have multi colored lights under the trackball.

I hope you do make one because I am planning to get the Blackberry 8300 Curve when it comes out to T-mobile.

I think there is an issue somewhere between this and the colorpearl application.

When I get an email, this app does exactly what it says but once it stops blucking it converts back to the basic white.

I've tried both highlight now set to disabled and to a color but it always reverts back. Also tried turning off and on the colorpearl app.

You're right, it is conflict with other color ball app,
to test xColorEvent you should disable other solution

Thanks,

I noticed after testing last night is that; if will stay white until it goes to standby then when it comes back up it's back to the color set in Color Pearl. I have the "Highlight Now" set to disable.
