Default KeePass....need help - 09-09-2007, 06:03 PM

I figured that it might be better to start a new thread.
First, let me thank all of you who worked on getting this app to work with BB.
I'm new to BB and need a little help. I got KeePass via OTA and it installed successfully, or so i was told by BB. When i try to open the app, i get...

Error starting Keepassbb:
Module
"Keepassbb"
attempts to
access a secure
API

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That means that the app isn't signed and that shouldn't happen. Which link did you use to download?

Also, can you go to Settings, Advanced Options, Applications, press the menu button and select modules, then open the module "keepassbb". Give me the version number and at the very bottom, there should be a section called Signer Ids. There should be 3: RRB, RCR and RRT.

Let me know.

Hmmm. One more thing, you're on an 8320 correct? Can you give me the handheld software version from Options/About? It's usually about the 3rd line.

Right now I'm on an 8100. I have no connections with RIM for an evaluation instrument so i have to wait until Sept. 24 for my 8320.

The version # for my 8100 is
4.2.0.64

Don't spend more time on this for me. I should have an 8320 in 2 weeks. I can wait and hopefully I won't have issues with that handset. Thank you again so much for all your work on this project.

Default Great job - 09-21-2007, 03:32 PM

Thank you for your interest in this project, I think it's really a great job.

I have the same problem with my BB Pearl, version 4.2.0.67:
Error starting keepassbb:Module "keepassbb" attempts to access a secure API

I've just instaled keepassbb beta 3 (version 0.3.136).

Regards.

I did same and now app opens. Now to create a database. I thought that I could enter login info thru the BB but it looks like I have to do a db.

I just figured out yesterday that KeePassBB is going to have a problem with 4.2.0. There were a few critical APIs that were added in 4.2.1 that KeePassBB uses. Removing the dependency on them will take a little work and I'm not sure it's worth it if a 4.2.1 OS is available for your device.

I have V4.2.1.107.
Keepass opens on my 8100 but i cannot input login info directly. Will i need to create a database on my PC with Keepass on PC and then move it over to my 8100?

My BlackBerry is a corporate phone, so I can't update my OS. I have KeePass installed in my PC and in my Pocket PC, and I would like to have it installed in my BB too.
But don't worry about it, I think you are making a great job and I don´t want you to loose your time working only for me.

Thank you, very much.
