nyubi - pls check your PM.

Also, just for general info and benefit of all - most merchant sites have shopping carts that do not allow you to enter multiple PINs. The solution in our case is simple - Order as many licenses you need, and simply drop us an email stating the list of PINs and we send you the keys for it.

Thanks.

This looks like a great program. Any workaround if you are a BIS user who has two BES accounts?

It is not possible to have two BES accounts on a single device (OS limitation). You can however have up to ten BIS accounts.

Maybe I am misspeaking. I have two exchange server accounts and one G-Mail account in my BIS system. Am I able to use this program?

Do you actually have a BES (aka BlackBerry Enterprise Server) account? A BES allows you to connect to a corporate mail server (Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, or Novell GroupWise) on enterprise networks to synchronize email and PIM information between desktop and mobile software. If all of your e-mail accounts are set up through BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service), there is no need for this software since the OS provides a unique icon on the BlackBerry homepage for each BIS account.

I am a BIS user which should show under my username on this thread. I use the main message icon and hide the other message icons on the homepage. I thought this program separated the type of accounts within the main inbox itself.

This application was actually written for BES users only because there is no separate icon for the BES account like there is for each BIS account -- BES e-mail messages can only be read in the "main inbox" (aka the Messages application).

You might want to look into setting up filters to do what you want. From within the RIM Messages application, select Search from the menu -- set the Service to the appropriate BIS account. From the menu (still within search), select Save in order to create a shortcut key (ALT + selected key) to perform the search from within Messages. To cancel the search (and return to all messages), simply hit escape.

Default Problems after OS upgrade - 10-12-2007, 09:56 AM

I have been running your application for 2 or 3 days, perfectly. I made later an upgrade of the sw in the bb -8310- and after do installation of your product -directly, OTA- I have troubles:
- Icon appears in the screen
- When you push on it, says some jave error
- Other applications have malfunction on the screen.

After uninstall, rest works fine. I would like to use this nice application, but how I can do? wich is the problem?

This is the upgrade made:
8310M_PBr4[1].2.2_rel314_PL2.5.0.32_A4.2.2.173.exe

Is it possible that your service books or any of the messages databases were corrupted during the upgrade? Are you able to SEND and receive BES messages without BES MailBox installed? If not, you may want to request the BES admin to resend service books as a starting point...

No, mail and rest works perfectly. I "clean" the device two times before post the message. I am not expertised on this device -coming from pda- and don't know what happen. Looks something modificated by the BES Mailbox modificates something in screen properties for other programs -besides it doesn't work- because boxes and words appear with small size or don't work.

or maybe is something related to permission not managed by BES Mailbox installation program?

THIS IS THE ERROR I GOT:

Uncaught exception: net.rim.device.api.system.ControlledAccessExceptio n

beginner - looks like some permission setting or something. Since its a "Technical" issue that may require some os specific troubleshooting, the best way is to drop us a line at [email address] with your OS Version & Device Model..

What happens when you click on "BES MailBox" in the Menu within the Messages Application. Do you get the same exception?

The folder shows message received, but get the error when trying to open the folder. All messages are showing up in the messages box. All gmail messages are showing up in a separate folder.

GMail is BIS so it would already be having a separate icon for itself. Try uninstall & re-install the latest version OTA from www.getEmpower.com/ota

Thanks!

There is absolutely no need for it in a purely BIS environment as RIM already provides a unique icon for each BIS-configured e-mail account.

I am trying to get this to work on the new Verizon Pearl BB 8130 but i dont see anything different. When I open the BES icon it looks just like my normal messages folder with all my BIS messages, phone calls, texts, SMS etc. I thought the whole point of this application was to only put BES messages into the folder and filter out all the other stuff. Maybe the Verizon Pearl is too new for this application to work properly or am I missing something obvious?

The current version of Empower BES MailBox is not supported on OS 4.3

A quick point that will help clarify -

BES MailBox gives you a way to view your BES emails. You know BB has separate icons for each BIS account, but for BES emails - all your BES emails goto default Messages app where you also have hundreds of messages from all your BIS accounts, PIN and SMS messages etc.

Empower BES MailBox is a solution to this problem - it gives you a separate access to your BES MailBox just as you have separate icons for each BIS account.

Also, Empower BES MailBox is oblivious of your BIS accounts. Depending on your IT policies, if you are allowed to receive BIS mails you will continue doing so. If you are restricted, you remain so. Empower BES MailBox does nothing for/to your BIS accounts.

Thanks!

No reply to my question in a couple of days as to whether or not Empower will eventually be updated to work with 4.3, so I have to assume it won't. On one of the Blackberry forums another software company answered that same question as to their own product being updated and said due to the complexity of 4.3 odds were their program would never work with 4.3. I hope that doesn't hold true for Empower too.

Excuse me if I dont follow, but is this not already an option? I have BIS setup, I have 3 icons for my 3 email accounts (1 my main job, 1 my second job and 1 my own Gmail) this keeps all my mails separate. I also have the messages icon hidden as I have no need to look at all my mails in one place.

That works for BIS accounts only -- the RIM OS does not provide a separate icon for BES messages. The BES messages are only accessible using the icon that you have hidden. One can apply filters, but the BES MailBox application is much cleaner IMO.

Yes you can run 2 BES accounts on one unit, I know cause I run 2 exchange
accounts on my 8800. One security runs AES the other 3DES and I have my personal email from OPT online as well on the unit. I have 2 IT policies running, however only one is active. However, when you send mail you have to make sure you select which Desktop Policy to send from, would hate to send job one from email address of job 2...lol

it installs for me and it opens but it isn't showing me only the BES emails I see my BIS emails too. I assume it's not working...

I got this email from their support:
Thank you for writing to us. RIM has not yet released the developer APIs for OS 4.3. We will be working on a new version for OS 4.3 as soon as the APIs are released by RIM.
