Hi all jeff here. I currently have unused websapce on my host so I was thinking of setting up a centeral site for all of us BB users as from what i can see there is lots of good free software out there but it seems to be scattered around. Different from Blackberry forums in that instead of linking to the software it would actually be hosted on the site.

The site would host all kinds of freeware for BB and articles/news/hacks,tips and tricks, all related to our Black Berrys and members would be free to submit there own news and articles, etc..... Of course the site would be completley free and would be in no way intended to compete with this site, (i mean come on like anyone could, Blackberry forums rock ) it would just be another resource for all of us to use. I do apologize if this idea has been mentioned or if there is already antoher site like this

You may need to contact the authors of the software though, just to get their permission. You don't want them to come back at you in 6 months.

at first was looking to get all the freeware,then will look at selling software perhpas, why did you have something in mind?

Look for an opening date of June 13th, 2005 (next Monday), it is taking a while to sift through all the articles to find the links for software, but thankfully I have lots of Red Bull to get me through. I have been tracking down links to apps and freeware, there kind of hard to find, but once the site opens up I am hoping our members will also help submit any links they come across. So far I have about 17 links to software and about 10 free ware programs, lots of ringtones and lots of wallpaper images & the forums are almost done.

The news and review sections are up and ready for members to submit news & reviews as well as comment on them, Search engine is completed with the ability to search the following sections:

Yes i have had this reported that its a little to slow. I think I am going to have to move to a deticated server, so that is a few bucks lol. I will try to get the speed up as soon as possable.


In regards to a bb version. It might be a little while its a lot of code to convert. I will try though. Thx for the feedback

There is another site that was started about 2 months ago that's deticated to personal wireless devices, IE: Phones, Blackberrys, etc. We're in the process of starting a blackberry apps section for people to download apps OTA also. The site link is on my signature.
