Default Iambic Software - Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Folks,

Anyone who has come over from PalmOS and used products from Iambic Software be on the lookout. They have a Blackberry tab on their home page.

Not sure when or which products - but if they can bring Agendus over to BB OS it would be awesome.

It should be noted that WebIS is already bringing Pocket Informant to the BB as well.

Default WebIS

If you beat Iambic to market - I am in. I believe you have a product with very similar features.

I would be willing to participate in your beta.

Good luck in bringing the product to market. Any ETA on a Beta? Blackberry screen shots to tease us?

Default Screen Shots

Donc36 - Thanks I missed them.

I am looking for a full funcitoned PIM where I can seamlessley view my agenda and link contacts with meetings and tasks.

I would expect the ability to look at a task and be able to launch a phone call, email or sms from the PI screen to that contact.

Question is, why do I need to join their forum to see the pics? The pics should be open to anyone who wants to see them. I know it doesn't cost anything to register, but why have to register for a forum I might never ever post on or read?

Thanks a lot, looks promising although it will take a lot to pull me away from PocketDay.

Should be open? They don't have to be open if the developer doesn't want them to be open. The product is very early on in development and no doubt NDAs apply. Having said that, however, WebIS is one of the top-tier developers for Windows Mobile devices for two reasons: 1) their products are of the absolute highest quality and 2) they are extremely responsive to their customer base.

PocketDay doesn't even come close to comparing to PI for Windows Mobile devices. No doubt their BB version will be just as powerful. I'm sure PocketDay will have its loyal customer base, but it won't be because they're producing a competitive product. Right now they're pretty much the only ones out there in the BB market with this type of app. When that changes, it will change hard and fast.

I am in the group that purchased and dumped Pocket Day. I am waiting to see what the competition can do.

While Iambic is known for having a nice (excellent, really) interface for Palm, they are known for charging for just about every new version update - meaning you are in for ~$10 every 6 mos has been my observation. They are also know for releasing new versions (and charging) while still having a "buggy" prior version.

My $0.02.

What don't you understand, anyone can register and then see the pics. so it is not about confidentiality or NDA's? I just don't want hundreds of usernames that are never used. As for the comments about Pocketday, I am not going to disagree and it will be interesting to see what PI does as I know the BB OS is much more limiting. Just for your information, I own PI for Windows Mobile so I know the program.

What is the timeline for some of these products to reach beta?

You have that right.

I did the 30 day trial and dumped it. I used to use PI on a PocketPC and comparing it to Pocket Day is like comparing an Xbox game to Pong.
