Could you imagine trying to put Runescape or MU Online on a BlackBerry? lol

There are MUD's for BlackBerry though.

Try http://www.criterionmud.net
They have a J2ME client compatible with BlackBerry: HERE

This is run by one of my local friends.

Thanks,

Default Keys don't work right in criterion - 06-06-2005, 07:54 PM

I saw this and immediately went to try it. Not knowing which one to use I tried the .alx, and then the .cod, but they didn't work.

Then I tried the .jar, and it installed on my 7100t, but I have a problem.

When it starts up and connects my number keys only send the # sign and the number. So if I want to send the letter 'e', I can't. It will send a "#1".

I can work around this by pressing the scroll wheel, selecting "Type" and then activating it. I can then type my text message and use the scroll wheel to send it.

I tried all the normal ways to change the text input method, but none of them worked. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Default Criterion Mud - 06-06-2005, 07:54 PM

It features a scrollback buffer and can handle special characters.

The client doesn't yet have graphics because I am still in the process of
writing an HTML parser for it. I also lack the code to put the graphics on the
BB's screen and get the images asynchronously. The next upgrade I want to do is the HTML parser, then from them make it handle colors, and finally
the graphics. I will also add some sort of type-line (local echo) sometime inbetween those features.

I do have graphics for the game however - the BB client just can't display them yet.

Please let me know if you try it and what you think.. I am looking forward to your feedback.
