Does anyone know what changes/enhancements are being made to ideaMatrix for the next release?

There has been a good amount of information about the new enhancements for todoMatrix in this thread and was wondering about ideaMatrix.

During this round, the focus of enhancement is ToDoMatrix (http://www.blackberryforums.com/afte...ml#post632882). There will be an IdeaMatrix release about one to two weeks after the ToDoMatrix release that will include a lot of fine-tuning but no major changes.

A few of the highlights will include:
+ Improved speed of IdeaMatrix startup (several fixes)
+ The ability to copy a folder of notes to a new folder (and therefore, the ability to create templates at the folder level)
+ The ability to set a note as a template for a folder (templates at the note level)
+ Improved note count logic
+ The ability to set alternate colors on folder icons
+ The ability to hide folders and drawers
+ Speed improvements to REXdesktop for IdeaMatrix.

Our goal is to keep IdeaMatrix free-form and simple-to-use, yet powerful enough for a variety of different uses. As always, previews of features should not be considered as set in stone / the list is never final when it is a preview - things may change before a release comes out.

Could we see any link/bridge setup possibly between ideaMatrix and todoMatrix? With the enhancements that are being made to the maximum characters in the Notes field and the 7D enhancements in todoMatrix, it would be cool to do a "convert" of a note in ideaMatrix into a task in todoMatrix. Or if not that, maybe possibly have some way to link multiple notes to a todoMatrix item while we workflow a todo.

EXAMPLE: I get an email form John Doe regarding a bid for a project, I inject that into my ideaMatrix. Then I need to create a todo that is related to that bid in todaoMatrix, so I create the todo. Then somehow, I can link that note in ideaMatrix to the todo in todoMatrix. When I view the todo, then I can also view any "attachments" lets say, which would be the note(s) in ideaMatrix. This could work vice versa within ideaMatrix, possibly.

Will any of that or variation of be possible in future releases beyond 7D?

Rexguys, the new release for ideaMatrix must be giving you all some major issues....could you stop by and let us know what all has been going on with the newest release of ideaMatrix? I have the need for speed with my IM

Well, folks complained that this release didn't have enough new stuff. We decided to add some cool new stuff, but this resulted in far more cycles of developing and QA that we estimated. We are now getting close with the new and improved update. Still no hard fast date to give yet.
