Default Time Stamp on email in Gmail app - 09-29-2007, 09:51 AM

Traveled to Vegas this week from the east coast, and I changed the time on my Pearl from EST to PST. Well, that screwed up all my appt times, so I moved it back. Now that I am back in the EST zone, all my Gmail (using the mobile app) is PST. You can send an email and it comes up as being sent three hours earlier. All the mail coming to the desktop have the right time.

Anyone know how I resolve this? I have reset the device, uninstalled / reinstalled the Gmail app, but still the wrong time.

Ideas?

First of all, realize that when you create appointments in your calendar, you are setting time AND timezone. When you change timezone when traveling, the device automatically adjusts the appointment times to reflect the new local time that you have established. You just need to keep this in mind when creating calendar events.

Not sure what is up with Gmail -- I frequently change the device timezone, and I never have had an issue.

Default About the time stamp... - 09-29-2007, 10:09 PM

Turned the Pearl off for an hour, and then back on; The time is now correct. Really don't know what happened there....
