Do you have a data plan? If so, you can use the BlackBerry Browser to download the programs.

Google Maps is 'http://google.com/gmm'

Google Maps supposedly upgraded to 1.62. I haven't tried it yet.

yeah, its 6.2, not that much of a difference though.
