Try SMS function in new IM+ BETA Version -

SHAPE Services starts new beta-testing round of IM+ All-in-One Messenger (version 5/.10)
IM+ supports MSN / Windows Live Messenger, AIM/iChat, Yahoo, ICQ, Jabber, Google Talk and MySpaceIM.
Now SMS feature is added.
Get 10 free credits for sending SMS via IM+.
How to get free credits for sending SMS:
1. Point envelope, than Menu->Get Voucher
2. Copy voucher number and insert the number after pressing "Add Credits"
You can download beta from our Web-site:

SMS cost depends on destination country. Usually it is 2 or 3, 6 is maximum.
Beta-testers will receive 12 free credits.
After release one credit will cost 2 US cents.

Victoria, OTA doesn't have an option to choose from.
I tried to load address book and I finally I had to hard reset the device. Also SMS+ doesn't recognize +569xxxxx numbers.

Ok got it to send an sms. Good deal. Another note is when I shutdown and restarted the app the credits I used were back.

Does this charge based on SMS or on your data plan? What I'm asking is if I send a MSN message to my friend's MSN account, will it charge me based on the data for the transaction or for one SMS?

8820 - latest AT&T version of the OS.
All loads fine and can access AIM, MSN & Yahoo. Was able to obtain voucher and credits. When I go to send an SMS and choose load Address book, application hangs with an hourglass wait. Requires "remove battery reboot".

I think it's awesome that the most active beta users will get licenses... Thats doing business right kinda like Jive should have done (HInt hint I used all the jive betas and gave feedback and still have to buy my license!)

If you use MSN messaging, you are not charged for SMS. IM+ uses your data traffic only for sending IMs.
