Question POP3 on blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

I've been posting on howardforums trying to pin down exactly what I will get on a blackberry with T-mobile's $4.99 T-zones plan (unlimited wap + pop3 + IM)

according to some people over there, there is no app for blackberry that allows direct checking of pop3 mailboxes or sending with smtp...because "everybody just uses the native blackberry push email". sure push is better, but I'd be really surprised if nobody has seen the felt enough like saving $15/mo to write a prog that checks pop3

They are correct no way for BB to check pop3 accounts. You have to have BES or BWC to get email. I am sure more folks will comment and give you more information as well.

Take a look at reqwireless emailviewer, I think it logs directly into pop/imap servers. I was going to try it but it lacks some features like auto-polling servers so I don't need to use BWC.
