Default Getting AIM on 7290 - 06-08-2005, 01:01 AM

I have a 7290 from TMobile. To get AIM/Y!/ICQ apprently I need the latest desktop software, which of course is Windows only and I'm from a Mac, and the download from them with that software is Windows only. What can I do to get it on the Blackberry?

SRA Ramble is a free AIM client. I noticed in another thread that you are having problems with your blackberry? I had an issue with mine (Nextel 7520) and it turned out that Ramble wouldn't connect because I had the firewall turned on. Try turning your firewall off first to see if Ramble will connect.

Hi, I have a 7290 on Cingular. I'm curious what IP you get when you go into the blackberry browser... go to http://whatismyip.com I get 216.9.250.63 If you do a whois on that it's an actualy RIM address... this was curious to me because I assumed I would get a cingular IP address... just curious what others get.

BTW, this is my first post.

Mike
