Default Yahoo Messenger question - 10-11-2007, 01:06 AM

I have downloaded yahoo messenger onto my 8300. When I try to sign in I get a message "Go to blackberry.com/go/yahoo" to activate your handheld for yahoo messenger" I go to the site but find nothing that would appear to relate to activating.

Do you have a yahoo username and password?

I also do not see the 8300 listed below.

System Requirements
16 MB BlackBerry smartphone with a color screen (BlackBerry® 7100 Series, BlackBerry® 7200 Series, BlackBerry® 7500 Series, BlackBerry® 7700 Series, BlackBerry® Pearl™ smartphone, BlackBerry® Curve™ smartphone, BlackBerry® 8700 Series, and BlackBerry® 8800 series), and OS v3.6.0 or higher (Go to Options -> About to find your device's handheld version. If you are not running OS v3.6.0 or higher, visit your Service Provider's website)
301 kB (301000 bytes) of free memory (Go to Options -> Status to find your device's free memory)
A Yahoo! ID and password (You can obtain a Yahoo! ID by visiting http://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_register)

Or just get JiveTalk. I deleted all the preloaded (free) IM apps from my new 8320 and just installed JiveTalk. One app, will all logins in the same place. Superb app!
