MP3 transfer gone wrong?

hi, just got my 8100 the other day from centennial wireless and installed the computer software that came with it. I opened the media manager and I am trying to put an MP3 file in the music folder (also tried the ringtone folder) on my pearl's internal device memory but it says the file is too big...how could this be? the free space on the phone's drive is 9.38MB and the song is only 6.18MB...am I doing something wrong or...?:-(

yea, you are limited to something like 2.3 mb for the device memory.

You need an SD card for music. Having that little device memory will ensure that you will be losing call logs, text messages etc., before too long.
