my 8700G has a white screen that won't go away.

i replaced the battery.
updated the firm ware.

any thoughts?

Could be the cable to LCD has come loose or the screen has gone bad! How old is it? Any physical or liquid damage?

no liquid damage.
just a minor fall to the floor.

could i open it to look at the cable?
