Sprint customers I need assistance

I am looking to buy a BB from craigslist and want to make sure it isn't stolen and Sprint Customer care won't tell me was hoping a sprint customer could call in and find out for me please!! if you can let me know so i can give you the ESN

call a "service center" (if they pick up). But any store should have access to the ESN look up, you just need a rep that has done it before. They can tell you if the phone is on the "negative" file which means reported lost or stolen, or if its been in an insurance claim which makes it unsuable.

Also need to make sure that the ESN isn't tied to anyones account still, which the only way i've ever been able to do that is through Customer Care.
