View Full Version : Is all files stored on the MicroSd only media related on 8830?

What I mean is, I have noticed that if I push a couple word or excel files down on to the MicroSd card, they won't open because Media Player is trying to open them. Is there any way around this or is the external storage only associated with music, ringtones, video and pictures?

I believe so, unless you have an application that can open those Word files. I believe documents and PDF and the like are only viewable via e-mail attachments. Again, that is if you don't have an application that can access the microSD card and read those other types of files.

I have been able to store files on the card and use those as email attachments that are sent out, but I cannot edit/open those files. At the present time functionality, i.e., active use of the card, is limited to media. Passive use as a storage device does work.
