7100t Java Loader Errors

My 7100t after being left alone for a month or so, started going haywire. I have recieved several Java related error messages from Out Of Memory to NullPointerException. I checked my memory and still have 11MB free. What can i do to fix this error?

What firmware are you running? If you aren't running the 4.0.0.198 code yet, upgrade, if you are already running it, you could try install Cingular's 4.0.0.219 on your 7100t, that's what I'm doing.

as rsun said, just load up new software on it. i'd definitely recommend going with the Cingular version. just be sure to delete the Vendor.XML file prior to trying to upgrade.

What difference does it make on running the 4.0.0.219 version instead of the .198?

why does any software vendor release new versions of software? bug fixes. read the release notes on the download page for the Cingular version - it has some fixes and known issues listed.
