View Full Version : Is UMA secure when using public hotspot?

I am right now using UMA at a TMobile hotspot. Then I started wondering - is this secure? We know internet wifi signals are not secure but what about UMA? Am I just being too paranoid? By the way I love my 8320.

UMA is basically GSM encrypted in an IPSEC tunnel - so you have the encryption of GSM encrypted with the IPSEC encryption. So I'm guessing that the average Jo isn't going to eavesdropping on your calls!!
