Smart dialing doesn't seem to be the answer for what I am looking for --

Is there any software/functionality that automatically adds the area code to new numbers, i.e., you enter 6624532 and dial, and the phone automatically adds a 646?

Furthermore, is there a way such that if you dialed the number 5346, it would automatically add both an area code prefix and three digit prefix, i.e., 646-662-5346 ??

This exists on the Palm Treo and I would love to have it on the blackberry. Please let me know if this functionality exists.

Thanks much.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Area code can be added, go to phone options, smart dialings and there is a setting for area code. For me if I just put in 9999999 it will fill in the area code I specify under this screen. It might be a carrier issue though. For phones that doesn't have this option they can just dial the seven digits and call right out, right?
