email audio notification on 8830

I've set audiable email notification on my current profile and it does not work.
Are there any other possible places where email notificaiton (Enterprise BB Server) would be configured. SMS arrival sounds the notification but not emails.

.. got it. I've missed setting Messaged[Desktop] , whatever that means. thanks for quick reply

Messages[Desktop] is for your Enterprise (BES) email.
