View Full Version : VZW 8830 and Roaming in Aruba

Aruba has both CDMA and GSM. I left the settings just as in the US, and I am connected 1x only and cannot pick up any BES email, voice is OK. As soon as I switch to GSM, I get GPRS and am able to get email and voice.
Does this mean that VZW does not have agreement for BB data with the local CDMA provider?

Not sure how it works with Verizon, but with Sprint I have to call and activate the SIM card for my 8830 users to be able to use it outside the North America.
