7100t Desktop Manager

This may be a dumb question..

How do you run the desktop manager for BB.

I've connected my phone to my laptop various times... and nada... its installed a driver... that much I know... but I am basically clueless here. If you didn't already know I am a newbie ;-) ! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Patience is always a goodie too... lol

Sounds like you downloaded the installer or got it from CD, and you have run the installer, correct? Not sure what you are asking? Did you lauch desktop manager after running the installer before connecting the blackberry?

ok... sorry about the horrible info earlier...

I figured out about the BB desktop manager... what I need to know is what is the appropriate version of it that I need to download for my BB (7100t). Every time keep trying to do something with it tells me I need a new encryption key, it then starts to generate it, but gives me the following error msg:

The computer does not know its message account address...

Any ideas?

Do you have password set on the blackberry? Desktop manager will prompt you for it if you do. Is that what's going on?

you have Desktop manager installed for desktop redirector. uninstall and reinstall for internet service.
