AT&T does not support Yahoo Instant Messenger. If you search the forum, however, you should be able to find threads about getting it to work.

Thanks. I am new to these forums and I was also wondering what instant messaging services At&t offers for my blackberry pearl?

The only messaging services that AT&T "officially" offer are Blackberry Messenger and Google Talk.

Search around the forums are there are many threads that provide steps on how to get around AT&T's lock down. Oh and welcome to the forums!

Cheers and best of luck!

No need to bump. All it does is add another message to the counter.

And have some patience. One of the experts will get back to you.

I have an AT&T phone and I am getting a similar message. However, it is Yahoo that works and Google Talk that does not work. I am installing GT ota (www.blackberry.com/googletalk) and all I get when I login is "Service is not enabled for this handheld." It worked before I did a wipe. I am on a BES, but our IT policy is wide open.

I have had our BES admin push the service books out to me and it still does not work.

the issue is due to the service book not pushed to the device.

you may use a workaround to run Yahoo! on your device.
