Recently I cancelled my verizon account for my blackberry 7250. When i attemted to log on to the enterprise system to cancel the email forwarding to the device, i got a message that the account is suspended. I am assuming because the device is no longer active on the verizon account. I am getting ready to sell the blackberry on ebay and want to be sure that if i sell this to somebody and they activate it, that they will not be getting my emails. By cancelling it on verizon does that automatically stop the email forwarding, even if someone reactivates it on their own account, or is there something more i need to do?

I'd do a full system wipe, it's under security in options. That is probably your safest option.

I had the same problem and doing a full system wipe doesn't always work. I would call Verizon and have them delete your profile on their end.
