I called T-mobile Today as the back button on my 8700g just stopped working. I've tried a hard reset, taking out the battery.. etc.
I'm into month 42 so no warranty. They are suggesting I upgrade my OS to the latest OS from T-mo as of Late November 2007 (as I write this email). I am skeptical this will fix the back button but they said OS refreshes have fixed keyboards that have not worked.
Anyways, the idea of an OS update kinda hurts a bit, I'm with the original OS. But while I consider the upgrade attempt. I was wondering if maybe a new OS might also address a few items on my wish list.
I've wanted to hide the email ap (Messages), as I can hide other Aps, for some reason my version. Not sure what version I'm on - whatever RIM version came with the device from T-mo 42 months ago. Will a newer version or some other trick allow this?
Off question,
