View Full Version : Outgoing mail not working....

I can do everything else with my phone... Its set up to receive the mail from my Outlook... my data plan is phenomenal... but I can't reply to my mail messages... I can send text messages however.

Can someone illuminate :idea: me on this...

You said you cannot reply to a message. Are you able to compose a new message? are you using BIS or are you on a company BES?

BIS... I can compose a reply to my e-mails... they just wont send. I sent a test msg to myself today and no such luck. When I go to view it in my msg section it has a nasty red X next to it. :?

When you open up the sent message, what does it say next to status?

The Status is: Unable to compress/encrypt message

What have you tried? Have you resent your service books? Have you tried a battery pull?

When did this issue begin? Do you recall installing anything new around the time this issue began?

I haven't tried anything but try sending an e-mail to myself.

How do you resend a service book? Didn't know that could be done?
Don't know how to try to do a battery pull...

Its been since the beginning. I bought the phone used. The only things I've installed in it is Mini Opera..

Log into your BIS account and there is an option to resend service books. To remove the battery. On the back of the phone slide the Plastic piece labeled "BlackBerry" up and pop the battery door off. Remove the battery with the device powered on for about 30 seconds.

At the top of the screen, does it show edge or EDGE? Does it show the name of your carrier or Data Connection Refused?

LOL... Battery Pull.. duh... ok.. will try...

The top does not say EDGE... but it does show my carrier

In the upper right hand corner I see "GPRS" with my signal bars above it
